Overview
Starts: Friday, June 1st, 6:00 pm EST (compare Seraphim clock on right)
Ends: Thursday, June 28th 6:00pm EST (compare Seraphim clock on right)
Format: Pauper Sealed
Entry Fee: 5 Event Tickets for the whole month (to be paid to either League Master Scootmin or Leonard_McCoy)
Note: Registration will remain open for the entire month.
Prizes
70% of tickets collected will be paid out as prizes. The number of places paid will be determined by the amount of participants.
30% of tickets will be stored in the clan Vault, to be used for special prizes and clan events.
Rules
Participants must read the full accounting of the General League Rules before registering to participate.
Sealed pools will be sent through private message on the forums.
Registration
In order to register, go to the events section in the forums and post in the registration thread, located in the Events>League forums.
Note: You will not receive your Sealed pool as soon as your entry fee has been transferred to the clan vault.
Before the Event
Players are permitted to test their decks against other clan members in the week between when registration opens and when the League starts.
Thus, it is to the benefit of those players who register early, because they are able to spend more time constructing and tweaking their deck with other clan members.
During the week before the league officially begins, you are allowed to reset your pool for the additional fee of two Event Tickets. However, once you have received your new pool, you will no longer be able to revert to your previous pool. You will be stuck with what you get!
After the League starts, league pools will no longer be available for a reset.
Points
For every match win, you will receive 3 points. For every match loss you will receive 1 point.
Only the first 5 matches of every week will be counted towards your match score. Any matches after that, will be counted towards your tie breaker points.
You must play 5 different people for your match score points. Once the week is over, you may play with members in matches that count towards your match score.
You will receive 2 tiebreaker points for a match win and 1 point for a match loss.
Reporting Match Results
After your match is over, please report the match results to Scootmin either in-game or as a private message through the forums. The match should be reported in the following fashion: “<Name> W/L <score> <Opponent>” (e.g. Leonard W 2-1 Scootmin, Scootmin L 1-2 Leonard).
You can check the updated rankings in the League results section of the forums.
Bonus Points
Players will be rewarded bonus points for actively participating in the League.
You’ll earn bonus points just for playing! Play the amount of matches listed and receive the corresponding points. These can be earned each week and count toward your overall points score.
3 matches: 3 pts
4 matches: 4 pts
5 matches: 5 pts
You can also earn bonus points for playing different league participants.
At the end of the league, if you played matches with at least 50% of the league participants you will earn 3 points.
If you played at least 80% of the people in the league, you will receive 5 points. These points will be rewarded once, at the end of the league.
Event Coordinators
The following members will act as Event Coordinators for Seraphim’s League Events:
- League Master: Scootmin
More Event Coordinators may be added as needed.
Deck Construction
Treat this event as you would a typical Limited Sealed tournament.
The minimum deck size is 40 cards. Leftover cards should go in the sideboard.
Please note that when you try to save your deck with these settings, you will get an error message. Disregard this. Your deck should still save with 40 cards and a sideboard over 15.
After you have saved your deck, reload it to make sure that all is correct.
The only cards you are permitted to add to your deck beyond that given to you in your sealed pool are basic land cards. You may include any number of basic land cards in your sideboard, as you wish.
You are permitted to change your deck at any time that you wish, so long as you use only the cards available to you in your sealed pool. In theory, you should be able to change your deck completely between matches, and/or between opponents.
Note: If you want to switch deck colors in-between matches, which is allowed, don’t forget to add basic lands to your sideboard.
If you have any questions regarding this process, or other rules regarding deck construction, please ask.
Final Words
Please remember that you need to log-in and go to the League forums to register for the league.
You are not officially registered until your entry fee has been transferred to the clan vault.
Please keep general discussion of the League to the forums.
